I’ve had this All Love Garden in my stash for just a little while, but it felt like such a special polish I wanted to wait until a good time to wear it! Finally, I got tired of waiting and just busted it out to wear to work and help me have a little sparkle. Sadly, it was cloudy and overcast the whole time I wore it.
It’s been a while since Enchanted Polish had a true collection release. She’s been releasing monthly mystery polishes, and a few ‘Right Place, Right Time’ polishes over the summer. Then there were, of course, restocks of already existing colours. So, I was happy and excited when the new Go West collection was introduced back in August (cough, yes it has taken me this long to get around to posting this). The Go West collection is based on Kanye West songs, and included 4 new polishes. I grabbed them all with my ninja-like clicking skills and immediately gravitated towards Good Life when they arrived.
Enchanted Polish originally released Autumn in a limited (ha, what Enchanted restock isn’t limited?!) restock, which I sadly missed. Luckily for me, it was rereleased this Autumn, and this time around I was prepared. Once it finally showed up, I was in love. Autumn spends most of it’s life shifting between a bronzey-golden holo polish, but every now and then a pinky-purple side shows up, and she’s just gorgeous! To add a little more festive feel to my Autumn mani, I grabbed a new (also Limited Edition) polish from Eat. Sleep. Polish., a gorgeous glitter topcoat called Salad Fingers. Cat describes it as “copper, sandy, caramel, matte peach, fuchsia, red and cranberry glitters of all shapes and sizes!”
I count myself lucky that I am one of the Enchanted Polish hoarders with a Water for Unicorns in my collection… although I admit, it took me quite some time to warm up to this shade! I kept it around for fear that if I did swap it, I would regret it and not be able to acquire it again! Well, I’m glad I kept it because Enchanted Polish recently released a sister to this beauty, called Hot Chocolate for Unicorns. Both unicorn polishes are creamy and opaque with a beautiful splash of holo throughout.
Enchanted Polish is definitely unicorn status among the indie brands… Surprise restocks of unannounced colours, restocks that sell out in mere minutes and the monthly mystery polishes seem to send polish lovers into a tizzy! Every time I try to resist, a new restock pops up, and my collection has grown considerably thanks to Enchanted Polish. Recently, one of my favourite polish stockists, Nail Polish Canada announced they would be having an Enchanted Polish restock on August 18… and their amazing service means my order landed in my mailbox today! Sticking to my budget, I only grabbed two – Dream On (NPC’s exclusive holo purple shade), and Seven Nation Army, a black and white spotted holo glitter topcoat deliciousness.
How could I decide between the two!? The choice was obvious – use them both!
I used 2 coats of Dream On on my index and pinky (and thumb), and 3 coats of 7NA on my ring and middle fingers. With 3 coats, 7NA builds to a nice opacity, but is slightly gritty so I used 2 coats of topcoat.
The holo in Seven Nation Army makes it look kind of fuzzy and out of focus, but it’s amazing! I can’t wait to play with this over other colours! Check out the pretty macro shot.

I’ve talked before about Enchanted Polish doing a year of monthly mystery polishes, but just in case you are living under an Enchanted rock, I’ll catch you up…. (wouldn’t an Enchanted rock be cool?). Ahem. Each month EP is creating a polish of the month. They are available by presale (yay!) but they are mysteries… meaning, you won’t know the colour, finish, etc. of the polish until it shows up at your house, or you see spoilers online! So far, she’s been bunching them together a few months at a time, which is really nice for saving on shipping for us outside of the States.
I opted to only get July 2014, as it’s my birthday month. The other colours ended up being gorgeous, but I just didn’t want to risk it on something I might not love. It’s a tough call.
July turned out to be a beautiful nearly cherry red holo with a touch of blue shimmer. I used 2 coats and topcoat, but I found the formula a little bit thick for my liking.
You can see the blue shimmer here a bit… unfortunately, it’s really tough to see it on the nail.
Did you get any of the monthlies this time around? Which ones?
I’m going out tonight with my Mom so I thought it would be fun to match my nails to my dress. The dress I want to wear has different coloured orange/coral/pink stripes, so I thought Stay Classy San Diego would be a good match.
Confession: I have never loved SCSD the way some people seem to go ga-ga over it. Sorry!
It is pretty though. A pinky-red with a bit of holo. I wish the holo was stronger on this… then I might love it more. I used two coats and topcoat… and a cute little bow vinyl from Eat Sleep Polish (I’m obsessed with these vinyls right now).
The formula is really creamy and nice.
What are your feelings on SCSD? Are you iffy like me, or are you a big-time fan?
